This was an exercise in class exploring the basic conceptual processes for designs.
We were timed and tasked to use a transformative technique and apply a role and material to the circle in the middle.

I chose fragmentation, and in the plan view, I envisaged a pond. But then frozen in time, like ice smashing across the surface.
After creating a section, we drew from the lateral perspective using a continuous line technique. We had to draw it as if we were looking at the person (or, in my case, a trophy) but with the correct perspectives, foreground and depth.
Although I identified I need to work on my “person-drawing” techniques, I can see a depth of perspective in my lateral view. There is the larger fragment of the pond, wrapping around the “person”, alongside the smaller fragments getting further away to the left.
With the addition of a bit of shadowing for some context, this would have emphasised this.
