Cad to Photoshop to InDesign

This was an exercise where we had a CAD base, we had to separate the layers. Import them into photoshop, render and then annotate in InDesign.

This exercise started quite dramatically. I was struggling with the CAD file, and after some guidance it was determined the CAD file was corrupt. We reloaded it and I was then able to separate each layer creating individual layouts to then export as a PDF to import into photoshop.

This then became a great recall exercise to refresh some skill that had got a bit rusty.

There are elements to this that could be said to be sloppy or that I haven’t focused on the details. However this was explained to us as a quick exercise and to not spend too much time on.

In total this took be about 20 mins, once I got going!
