After a timed sketch challenge in our first lecture, I took on the challenge again at home. How quickly could I draw something easily identifiable?
Despite my Dali-esque wine bottle (I will say it was full and up-opened at the time of drawing). The quick sketches were quite a success.
I gave myself a few seconds in the beginning to trace the outlines and any interesting parts of the pieces by eye. I then drew in 1 continuous line as quickly as possible without rushing.
The Mug handle seems to be upside-down, the computer mouse a little squat, but this one indicates some 3D perspective.
This is definitely helping me to understand what to look at to ensure when I do draw, and or have to draw quickly, I can get down what’s necessary.
