This blog is an insight into my design process and interests.

Allowing exploration of anything that may aid my journey into becoming a landscape architect.

Parque Central

GPB like to create multilayered spaces where people don’t just walk through but come and stay.

Here, the inspiration was from the local hills, hot temperatures, citrus fruits, a huge canal system and the local area’s use of ceramic. This was then explored and created 6 bowls with 2 large water bodies.

As you pass one area, with a slight curve across the areas, you are pulled into the other. It creates multiple views, like prospect refuge establishing a sense of spatial hierarchy across the area.

On paper, the landforms create undulating spaces, but in some parts of the park, there are long walls that seem to be quite utilitarian; they do, however, create spaces and extra surfaces for vertical planting.

Ultimately, this has created a park embellishing its local community, enhancing cultural, ecological, and economic sustainability.
