For the planting design, I aim to create both structure and movement, incorporating a strong presence of evergreens to maintain year-round visual interest. The palette will include soft pastel tones alongside more vibrant hues, ensuring a variety of atmospheres suited to different patient moods.

All selected plants will be non-toxic and safe, preventing any risks associated with play or accidental ingestion. However, a thorough review of the plant palette is still needed to confirm suitability.

In the SuDS area, I will explore marginal and wetland plant palettes to complement the grading and drainage design. Additionally, key structural trees and species will be chosen to provide height and contrast against the borders.
If certain areas are designated as lawns, incorporating native herb species will enhance biodiversity while also creating a visually engaging, patterned floral tapestry.
