This blog is an insight into my design process and interests.

Allowing exploration of anything that may aid my journey into becoming a landscape architect.

Visualising the Fire

Our RHS submission was a group project and therefore as I hadn’t created our visualisation I felt it wasn’t right to include it in my portfolio. I therefore did my own visualisation which I can now include.

This did take me much longer than anticipated, and it was the rendering that was the culprit. My normal rendering technic, is very plane and simple, but this was very specific to each individual flower variety.

Although this has turned out well, I am not sure it was the best I will continue to render in this way, unless absolutely necessary or I can find a much quicker way to achieve the same result.

All the planting was done with various paint brush tools in photoshop, whilst the wood and the burnt posts were real images dropped in.

Having real images contrasted against the painted colours and drawn textures provides a visual aesthetic juxtaposition and in my eyes a little novel character.
